Lakes International Language Academy has announced that it will expand its curriculum and programming to include seventh and eighth grades within the next two years, with plans to grades nine through 12 in the following year.
The announcement came after a March 3 board of directors meeting on the topic. According to a press release, the decision was made after much research and feedback from those currently involved with the Spanish and Chinese language immersion school.
Not all of the details have been determined yet. At its next meeting on March 19, the board will discuss more exact timelines, facility needs and other logistical issues. Among the most pressing issues is whether the additional grades will be added this fall or in the fall of 2016.
