Wildlife fundraiser

Storytime
The Wyoming Area Library will host a storytime event at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays from April 7 to May 12. Preschoolers and their siblings are welcome to attend. Families will listen to stories, learn vocabulary, make new friends, and learn what fun the library can be. There will be special performance called Old MacDonald Had a Banjo as part of the Once Upon a Reader program on April 21.
Puppet musical
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5879 Wyoming Trail, will host a free puppet musical about witnessing God’s love at work in everyday life at 7 p.m. April 11 and 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. April 12.

Seniors garage sale
The East Bethel Seniors will host a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 11 and 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 12 at the Community Center, 2241 221 Ave. NE.

Pancake breakfast
Scandia Preschool and the Scandia/Marine Lions will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 12.
EAST BETHEL
Pancake breakfast
The East Bethel seniors will host a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 12. Pancakes, french toast, sausage, juice, and coffee will be served. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 10 and under.

Book club
The Giese Memorial Library will host a Tuesday afternoon book club featuring “The Paris Wife” by Paula McLain at 2 p.m. April 14.
Author visit
New York Times bestselling author William Kent Krueger will visit the Wyoming library at 7 p.m. April 14.
Shredding event
Victor Insurance Agency will sponsor a paper shredding event from 9 to 11:30 a.m. April 18 to benefit the Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau programs and services.
SCANDIA
Dala Gala
The Scandia Elementary PTO will host the first ever Dala Gala from 7 to 10 p.m. April 24 at Stella’s in Forest Lake. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at Scandia Elementary for $25 per person or $40 per couple. If purchased the day of the event, tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple.
Chicken dinner
The Scandia/Marines Lions will host a chicken dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. May 2 at the Scandia Community Center to benefit the Lions scholarship fund. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The event will feature a silent auction, musical entertainment, a Kentucky Derby hat contest, and more.
