Cancer benefit
A benefit for Allie Wolfbauer will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. May 31 at Pinehaven Farm, 28186 Kettle River Blvd. N. The event will feature a meal, petting zoo, jumping pillow, silent auction, raffle, bake sale, and mechanical bull. Admnission is $10.
COLUMBUS
Recycle week
The City of Columbus will offer residents curbside and drop-off options for spring recycling and clean up the week of June 1 to 6. The event includes appliance disposal, recycling, shredding, bicycle donation, and more. Advice for your device
One-time sessions to learn how to download library eBooks and eAudiobooks on your smartphone, tablet, or eReader will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. June 4 at the Wyoming Area Giese Memorial Library. Registration is required in person or by calling 651-462-9001. Bring your device to the session.
EAST BETHEL
Senior dance
The East Bethel seniors will host a dance from 1 to 4 p.m. June 5 at the community center one mile east of Hwy. 65 on 221 Ave. Cost is $5 and includes lunch. The featured performer is Mike Elsenpeter.
WYOMING
Book club
Wyoming Area Giese Memorial Library, 26855 Forest Blvd, will host a book club meeting at 2 p.m. June 9. The book discussed in the Community Room will be “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” by Cheryl Strayed. Registration is not required and copies of “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail” are available at the front desk.
HUGO
Rodeo
The Minnesota State High School Rodeo State Championship will be held at 7 p.m. June 12 and 13 and 12 p.m. June 14 at Dead Broke Arena, 170 St. and Hwy. 61 just west of the roundabout. The event will feature free pony rides, covered wagon rides, and cowboy hats for the first 100 kids. Price is $10 for adults and $5 for youth under 18 daily or $15 for a three-day pass.
EAST BETHEL
Pancake breakfast
The East Bethel seniors will host a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 14 at the community center one mile east of Hwy. 65 on 221 Ave. The event will feature pancakes, french toast, sausage, juice, coffee, and choice of egg. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 10 and under.
WYOMING
5k Run/Walk
Stomp Out Suicide will host a 5k family run/walk August 22 at Goodview Park. The event will feature live music, face painting, a resource fair, silent auction, raffle prizes, bounce houses, clowns, and food stands. More information available art facebook.com/stompoutsuicide.
