The Education Foundation of the Forest Lake Area will be hosting its fourth annual fundraising event “Growing TEFFLA at Waldoch Farm” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at 8174 Lake Dr. in Lino Lakes. All proceeds and donations will support the goal of raising at least $40,015 towards grants for inspired educational opportunities in the Forest Lake Area.
“Our mission is to bring the resources of the community, the private sector, and the school system together,” TEFFLA Board Chair Donley Johnson said in a press release.
Since 2011, TEFFLA has awarded $22,835 in grant awards and impacted 13,828 students, educators, and community members.
“Through our organization, many area children and adults have had the ability to take part in wonderful new experiences that broaden their education,” Johnson said. “The growing TEFFLA event will enable the organization to continue supporting these opportunities and impacting area learners and communities in the year ahead.”
The evening will include a wine and beer tasting and local food offerings with music provided by the Forest Lake school string quartet. Activities will include a silent auction, live auction, raffle, and more.
