Judith “Judy” Turenne, age 71 of Forest, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, with family by her side.
Judy was born on September 15, 1944 in Saratoga, NY. She proudly served our country in the United States Army. During her time in the military, she met her beloved husband Bill, while they were both stationed in Germany. They were united in marriage on March 20, 1965 at St. Pascal’s Catholic Church, Saint Paul. Judy was employed by the State of MN for almost 20 years.
She enjoyed celebrating the holidays, especially with her family; also knitting, gardening, watching movies and her cats
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Wallace Howard and Margaret Blais and sister, Peggy Schumacher.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Keith) Locnikar, Joseph (Dawn), Jennifer (Thomas) Gajeski, William (Kerri); grandchildren, Amber, Joseph, Maranda, Laura, Sarah, Thomas, Anthony, Emily, Makayla, Samuel, Nicholas, Benjamin; two brothers; four sisters; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1 at The Church of St. Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation 4-7 p.m., Monday and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Family interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
