The Hardwood Creek branch of the Washington County Library will host a community art show Feb. 1 to 29. This non-juried art show is open to residents of the greater Forest Lake/Hugo area. Artists 18 years of age and older who are interested in being part of the show are invited to complete an application and submit it to the library from Jan. 2 to 23.

The Hardwood Creek Library community art show is part of Washington County Library’s Winter Reads free reading program for adults. This program encourages adult library users to spend the winter months reading, submitting short book reviews to the library, and attending special library events. Winter Reads events are free, open to the public, and presented in collaboration with the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA). The Winter Reads program runs from Jan. 1 through Feb. 29.
