Senior dance
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a senior dance featuring musical guest Sowada from 1 to 4 p.m Feb. 7. The cost is $6 and a light lunch will be served.
Free soda samples
Whistler Bottling, 1520 9th Ave. S.W., will host a soda sampling event and facility tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 6. Brew fest and chili cook off
The Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway, will host a brew fest and chili cook off at 1 p.m. Feb. 6. The event will feature 12 brewers and more than 10 chilis. A wrist band for the day costs $20. There will also be a drawing for a 40 inch television. Check post225.com for more information.
Dinner and comedy
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will serve an Italian buffet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 with a comedy show to follow. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
A Recipe for Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder
Led by Dr. Ashley Rath and held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Vanellis by the Lake, this presentation will take guests through each of the most common ingredients that constitute autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Once you know each critical ingredient that makes up Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder, you can choose the best path for your child and take the first step towards his/her healing and recovery. Valentine date night daycare

Festival of Cultures
Forest Lake Area Schools is making final plans for its annual Festival of Cultures, which will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m April 8 at Forest Lake Area High School. This free community event is designed to celebrate the many cultures of the district’s schools and communities through games, storytelling, art, music and much more. The festival’s planning committee is currently seeking groups or individuals who would like to have a booth at the event highlighting a particular country or culture.
