A recipe for Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder
Led by Dr. Ashley Rath and held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Vanellis by the Lake, this presentation will take guests through each of the most common ingredients that constitute autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Once you know each critical ingredient that makes up Autism, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder, you can choose the best path for your child and take the first step towards his/her healing and recovery. Fish fry
St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Dr., will host a series of fish fry dinners Feb. 12, 19, 26, and March 4, 11, 18. Call 651-982-2200 for more information.
Drumline competition
The Forest Lake drumline’s annual drumline competition will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Forest Lake High School gym. The event will feature performances by indoor drumline teams from around the metro. The Forest Lake drumline will present its new show, “Bent.”
Valentine date night daycare
Forest Hills Church, 1790 11th Street S.E., will offer free daycare from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 14. Kids will enjoy pizza, movies, games, and fun in a safe environment. Call 651-464-5249 to register.
Winter plunge
Feb. 20 marks the seventh year that the Forest Lake Rotary has sponsored the Forest Lake Winter Plunge. Each year, more than 600 plungers have generated over $100,000 in pledges for various non-profit community causes. Forest Lake area residents have raised more than $700,000 over the last six years. Vatican International Exhibitions
St. Peter Catholic Church, 1250 South Shore Dr., will present the Eucharist Miracles of the World from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 20 and 21. With an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions, this exhibition presents some of the principal Eucharistic Miracles that took place throughout the ages in various countries of the world and which have been recognized by the Church.
