Breakfast
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a French toast and pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on April 3.
Senior dance
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a senior citizen dance 1 to 4 p.m. April 3. A light lunch will be served.
Vietnam Veterans Day
The Forest Lake American Legion will host a Vietnam veterans program at 2 p.m. April 3 featuring master of ceremony Stan Turner and keynote speaker retired Major General Larry Shellito. Forest Lake native, and veterans advocate, Pete Hegseth will address veterans. A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior high student.
Foster care information
There will be a foster care info session held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the Hardwood Creek Library. Interested parties can register online by April 4 at evolveservices.org.
Blood drive
A community blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 4 at St. Peter Catholic Church in the gymnasium. Call Nancy at 651-233-0854 to schedule an appointment or visit www.redcrossblood.org and search 55025.
Grief support
Specialized grief support groups will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Thursday beginning April 6 at the Hardwood Creek Library. Register by calling 651-266-5674.
Live music
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host the classic rock band The Swamp Hounds at 8:30 p.m. April 9. There is no cover charge.
Conceal and carry

Bingo
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a bingo event April 14. Players will have an opportunity to win Twins tickets or cash and other prizes.
Chili cook off
The Forest Lake VFW, 556 12th St SW, will host a chili cook off April 17. Entries are due in crockpots by noon and tasting will begin by 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to be a taster or judge but should bring a non-perishable item for the food shelf.
