Edward L. “Flaming Eddie” Erickson, age 78, life-long resident of Scandia, MN, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
Eddie was an active member of the Almelund Threshing Co. and the Scandia/Marine Antique Car Club for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawren and Rosemary Erickson; wife, Elizabeth; niece, Barbara Erickson.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Mary (Rick Brink) Duffy, Joanne (Rod Gerhardson) Barber, Diane (Gary) Braun; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeannette Hirsch, John (Ida) Erickson, Robert (Diane) Erickson; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at Elim Lutheran Church, 20971 Olinda Trail North, Scandia. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Elim Lutheran Cemetery. A Gathering of Family and Friends will continue immediately following the interment at the Scandia Community Center.
