CITY OF WYOMING ORDINANCE
NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF WYOMING CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 20, LAW ENFORCEMENT, ESTABLISHING AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR PERSONS HOSTING AN EVENT OR GATHERING WHERE ALCOHOL IS PRESENT AND POSSESSED OR CONSUMED BY PERSONS UNDER TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE; SOCIAL HOST ORDINANCE.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 3rd day of June 2014, the City Council of the City of Wyoming adopted an Ordinance prohibiting and establishing penalties for persons hosting an event or gathering where alcohol is present and possessed or consumed by persons under twenty-one (21) years of age. The new Ordinance is entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF WYOMING CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 20, LAW ENFORCEMENT, ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 1, SOCIAL HOST ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, It is the intent and desire of the City Council of the City of Wyoming to discourage and prevent underage possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages, whether in public areas or on private property, premises or residences; and it is the intent of City of Wyoming to hold persons criminally responsible who host events or gatherings where persons under 21 years of age possess or consume alcohol, regardless of whether the person hosting the event or gathering supplied the alcohol.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a printed copy of the entire ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the City Clerks regular office hours in the City Hall located at 26885 Forest Boulevard, Wyoming, Minnesota. Furthermore, proof of publication of the title and summary shall be recorded in the ordinance book of the City Wyoming within 10 days of publication of the title and summary.
