NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Wyoming Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at the Wyoming City Hall, 26885 Forest Boulevard on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. to consider the adoption of the following ordinance amending and replacing the City of Wyoming Code of Ordinances,
Ordinance no. 2014-04 – an ordinance amending the City of Wyoming Code of Ordinances, Chapter 40, Zoning Ordinance, Article VII, Division 30, Telecommunication Towers; establishing regulations in order to accommodate the communication needs of residents and business while protecting the public health, safety, and general welfare of the community, the Council finds that these regulations are necessary in order to:
(1) Facilitate the provision of wireless telecommunication services to the residents and businesses of the City
(2) Minimize adverse visual effects of towers through careful design and siting standards
(3) Avoid potential damage to adjacent properties from tower failure through structural standards and setback requirements and
(4) Maximize the use of existing and approved towers and buildings to accommodate new wireless telecommunication antennas in order to reduce the number of towers needed to serve the community.
Copies of the draft ordinance are available at the Wyoming City Hall for public review. The draft ordinance is also posted on the City website at wyomingmn.org. Notice is hereby given that there may be a majority of the City of Wyoming City Council in attendance at the public hearing.
