Mike Muske, owner of RE/MAX Synergy, invited the Forest Lake community to celebrate with him on Friday, June 20, when the company marked its 75th year in business.
At the Tanners Brook Golf Course, 124 golfers participated in a golf tournament and 155 people gathered for dinner. Together, they raised $6,000 for the Muske Company Foundation. The money will be spent on programs that support the Forest Lake community.
The foundation is made up of RE/MAX Synergy real estate agents who donate time and gifts to those in need. They also fund scholarships for high school seniors who give back to the community.
The company was founded in 1939 by Mike’s father, William Muske Sr., who passed away in 2007.
The celebration included surprise visits from the corporate office.
RE/MAX co-founder Dave Liniger, who started the Denver-based global real estate franchise in 1973 with his wife, Gail, was on hand. Liniger is credited with improving conditions for real estate agents by creating the RE/MAX business model, which combines a maximum commission concept with strong support services.
Michele Roy, RE/MAX marketing and promotions manager who helps new franchise owners set up, and Chris Schwartz, strategic development consultant for the 13-county metro area, also attended.
