David Smithlin, age 71 of Forest Lake, passed away on March 11, 2016.David loved spending time with his family and was an avid fisherman.
Preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Selvaggi; parents, James and Margaret.
Survived by wife, Nona; daughter, Jenny (Shawn) Nistler; son-in-law, Ross Selvaggi Jr.; grandsons, Luke and Logan Nistler, Ross and Ryan Selvaggi; siblings, Richard (Cheryl), Jimmy, Sue (Ralph) O’Neil, Lorie (Quint) Swedenburg, Joey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 N. Shore Dr., Forest Lake with a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Stony Run Cemetery, Granite Falls, MN or to Faith Lutheran Church.
